Located in the fertile slopes of the San Salvador Volcano, the Miranda Farm is a historic property dedicated to the cultivation of coffee, which combines agricultural tradition with tourist and cultural attractions.

 

Coffee Production

The farm stands out for its significant production of high quality coffee:

  • Harvest 2025Harvest 2025: 500 quintals of gold coffee were obtained, reflecting a robust and sustainable production.
  • Projection 2025/20261,000 quintals of gold coffee are expected to be harvested, evidencing the growth and efficiency of the agricultural practices implemented.

 

The farm has two main growing areas:

  • 24 manzanas (approximately 16.8 hectares) dedicated to a new planting of the variety (approximately 16.8 hectares) dedicated to a new planting of the Marseille variety. Marsellarecognized for its adaptability and cup quality.
  • 26 manzanas (approximately 18.2 hectares) with coffee plantations Bourbona traditional variety prized for its sweet and balanced flavor profile.

 

Tourist and Cultural Attractions

In addition to its agricultural activity, Finca Miranda offers visitors an enriching experience through its facilities:

  • Restaurant: The Café and Restaurant Mirandaopened in August 2001, is located in the main part of the farm.
  • Coffee MuseumThis space exhibits historical machinery of the first coffee mill in El Salvador, offering visitors a deep vision of the evolution of coffee production in the country.
  • Casa PatronalThe main residence of the farm, reflecting traditional architecture, provides visitors with a sample of the lifestyle associated with the old coffee farms.

 

Natural Environment and Location

The farm is located on the slopes of the San Salvador Volcanoan emblematic geological formation with an altitude of 1,893.39 meters above sea level in its main crater, known as El Boqueron.
